The European version of Sony's PS3 won't be backwards-compatible with as many PS2 games when it launches on March 23, Sony said Friday.
While the U.S. and Japanese versions of the console contain dedicated hardware allowing it to run the older titles, the European PS3 will instead use software emulation, which doesn't work. The PS3 will cost $830 in Britain.
Europe, Sony just did you over again. You're not even getting the same console anymore. Why do you take it?
