Capcom Talks Seeds, Ex-Clovers

Crazy days at Capcom: from the dissolution of Clover Studios to the jackrabbit-quick formation of Seeds, people have lots of questions. Gamasutra kidnapped Capcom VP Charles Bellfield and forced him to answer some of the big ones. Here's what he says about Clover and Seeds:

What actually happened is Mikami-san, Kamiya-san and Inaba-san chose to leave the company and do something else and the rest of the Clover team was just incorporated back into the rest of Capcom's development talent pool. So in fact, while three individuals left, Clover Studios as a separate entity was merged back into the rest of the Capcom teams and today, still, the talent we had, with the exception of three people, is still remaining at Capcom.

That's good that the rest of the squad was folded back into Capcom (Bellfield goes on to say that they're working on such projects as Resident Evil 5 and Keiji Inafune's new Wii game). Although I think the classification of three of the company's star designers as "the exception of three people" is a bit of an understatement.
