Big Huge Games Snags Oblivion Designer

Big Huge Games scored a major coup when it wooed Ken Rolston, lead designer on Morrowind and Oblivion, out of retirement. Though better known for RTS games like Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends, BHG is looking to venture into the land of RPGs, and there isn't a much better guide than industry vet Rolston.

BHG president Tim Train is excited about his company's upcoming RPG project, not just because it has a good story, but also because it'll help the company expand into the console arena:

Obviously, there are a lot of people out there playing consoles. We think that the concepts and the story that we’ve come up with are really cool and we want to get them into the hands of every single person we can. That means putting it out on as many formats as the technical scope of the game can handle.

BHG won't be abandoning the PC format, however, or its trademark RTS games.
