Michael Mehrle, president of Neovision labs, shows a DIY "homebrew" 3-D adaptor he invented for low-budget stereoscopic moviemaking. The mirrored device shown here, for which he designed the prototype, attaches to the lens of a standard HD camera. Most pro solutions involve two separate cameras, but his only uses one, which makes 3-D feasible economically for microbudget indie filmmaking.
