Democratic presidential candidates participating in last week's debate in Boston were asked whether they preferred using a Mac or a PC. The question was completely irrelevant, of course, but it's worse than that. The question was also a plant, foisted upon Brown University student Alexandra Trustman by CNN producers who told her that her own question -- presumably on something like war or poverty -- wasn't lighthearted enough. Wesley Clark? Howard Dean? John Kerry? That's not whimsical enough for you?
