Arnold Schwarzenegger's splashy and contrived entry into that circus known as the California governor's recall is eliciting predictable responses from around the country. One New Yorker said California's current fiasco makes the electoral practices of Florida look sane. A Missouri man said it only reaffirms the Golden State's reputation as the "land of fruits and nuts." This, from a land that has given us the likes of Jerry Springer, Howard Stern and Geraldo Rivera. Uh-huh. You bet.
