J.L. Hunter Rountree knocked over another bank the other day, escaping with around $2,000. When the cops chased him down, about 15 miles outside of Abilene, Texas, Rountree went quietly into custody. Which is pretty much what you'd expect a 91-year-old guy to do. Rountree, who Abilene police believe is the oldest bank robber in U.S. history, told the cops he needed the money and had a grudge against banks. "Red," as he's known, has spent time in prison for bank robberies in 1998 (when he was merely 87) and then again 1999.
