The creators of the Teddy Ruxpin talking teddy bear have another idea for a new product line: a stuffed animal with an integrated one-way cordless phone that allows people to leave messages for a child on the bear. A child can retrieve the message by pressing the bear's right paw.

LeapFrog, which began its venture making computerized, interactive books for preschool-age children, is releasing Leapster -- a portable device with a full-color screen that touts interactive games to teach math and reading skills.

The PowerTouch Learning System ($50), an interactive book that lets children between the ages of 3 and 8 retrieve information at the lightest touch, appears in toy stores in August.
