When folks saw police giving Linda Harris, the coordinator of the drunken-driving program in New Mexico's Dona Ana County, breath and coordination tests, they assumed it was a demonstration. They were wrong. Harris was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while intoxicated at a DWI picnic, despite her protestations that she hadn't been drinking at all. Police were not convinced after she registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.09. The legal limit in New Mexico is 0.08. Harris is currently on paid administrative leave.
