Liverpool's Speke airport will be renamed in honor of one of the city's favorite sons, John Lennon, according to a report Friday on NME.com, a British music site. Speke will be formally renamed Liverpool John Lennon Airport in a July 2 ceremony, which coincides with a visit to Liverpool by Yoko Ono, the former Beatle's widow. Paul McCartney, Lennon's alter ego who is in Los Angeles working on a new album, could not be reached for comment. Maybe the luggage tags will read LSD. You know, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
