NBA Player Killed

Bobby Phills, a guard with the NBA's Charlotte Hornets, was killed Wednesday in a car accident following a team practice. Phills, 30, died instantly when his black Porsche collided with another car about five minutes away from the arena, team officials said. Phills, in his ninth NBA season, joined the Hornets in 1997 after six seasons in Cleveland. He is survived by his wife, Kendall, and two children.
