Police in Cumberland County, Tennessee, arrested the political opponent of slain state Senator Tommy Burks Friday. Byron "Low Tax" Looper -- who disappeared after Burks, a hog farmer, was found dead in his truck Monday -- was charged with first-degree murder. Looper trailed the well-liked, four-term Democrat after his indictment in March for theft and misuse of public office. Meanwhile, Burks' widow, Charlotte, entered the race for the Senate as a write-in candidate.
