Analyzer Arrested in Israel

The hacker who allegedly broke into Pentagon computers and taunted the FBI is being held, but likely won't face charges in the US.

The 18-year-old Israeli hacker known as Analyzer was arrested today by Israeli police on charges of breaking into defense systems in the United States and Israel.

Analyzer, whose real name was not released, will be brought before a judge by Thursday, an Israeli police spokeswoman said.

The FBI has sought Analyzer since it was discovered in February that Pentagon systems had been infiltrated. It is unlikely, however, that Analyzer would face charges in the United States, since the extradition of Israeli citizens is prohibited by treaty.
