Albright's Journey

The secretary of State has a message for Middle Eastern and European allies as the arms-monitoring stalemate with Iraq hardens: The United States wants a "strong international response" (read: military force) to Baghdad's continued unwillingness to show and tell all. Albright is beginning a trip to confer with concerned governments, including officials in France and Russia who are openly skeptical about using force. Albright will then visit Israel, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt.
