The G7 consensus not to throw cold water on the dollar inspired markets to a fast start this week. In early-morning trading, the Dow was nudging at the 8000 mark, up 80 points to 7997; the Nasdaq was up 8 to 1688. Big winner: IBM, ahead $5.25 on its copper chip announcement.
