The International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care has made an attention-grabbing offer: 50 doctors, nurses, and other members of the group are volunteering to undergo testing of vaccines that uses a weakened live strain of HIV. Joe Zuniga, deputy director of the group, said that the proposal isn't a reckless one: setting up proper protocols for the tests and gaining government approval will probably take two years.
