Tech Stocks Rebound

Stocks stabilized following early losses after tech mainstays such as IBM, Compaq, and 3Com showed strength in the face of inflation concerns. The Nasdaq was up as much as 9 points to 1590 after dipping as low as 1579. But the Dow stayed in negative territory most of the day.
