Vasily Tsibliyev and Alexander Lazutkin prepared to leave the space station early Thursday to return to Earth. Their six-month stay was marked by an onboard fire, a ruptured coolant line that spewed potentially dangerous chemicals, a crash with a cargo craft that badly damaged a lab module, and the failure of an oxygen-generation system. Amid the mishaps, Tsibliyev developed a serious heart condition.
